I can't believe it's actually this time of the year again! The time it gets colder, cozier and golden-brown.
Everything is screaming autumn.
And this year I have been really excited, more than ever before. Our summer was extremely nice and hot and about two weeks ago I was still able to walk around in t-shirts. Now that it is September (nearly October, where is the time?) and it starts raining I really feel the autumn-spirit inside me.So I am about to tell you the things I love most about autumn.

First of all: Light candles!
It doesn't matter what you are up to: If you have a burning candle next to you it will instantly make you feel cozy and relax you. Especially if it has a nice scent.
Everyday when I am sitting in my home office I have a little candle lit by my side. Even right now, as I am writing this down.
You can get scented candles everywhere. So if I just made you excited to buy one: Do it! Right now!

Beautiful sunrise, foggy fields, stunning views.
That is what I experienced this morning.
I got up really early and figured it would be nice to take a walk and see the world waking up. I just happened to be at this river when the sun started rising, so I sat down and watched it. What a great start in a day and awesome experience that is.

Another thing I am absolutely obsessed with during autumn is to take a walk through different landscapes. I often find myself in a forest or a meadow. It doesn't matter what the weather is like: Both, rain and sunshine, is just beautiful during autumn.
Just grab yourself a coat, scarf, if needed an umbrella and go out.
Discover and free your mind.
This is your time. Take a deep breath and taste the brisk air. Take a break.

After spending time outside or coming home from school you want to get a bit cozy.
Make yourself a hot chocolate or a tee (I went for green tea, my favorite one), grab a book, light a candle and snuggle into your blankets.
You can also lay down in bed and listen some relaxing music.
As someone who always gets winter depression I just can't resist from listening to "sad" music. From October to March you will only see me listening to Lorde, Lana Del Rey and The XX. I don't know why and it only makes me feel even more emotionless, but I can't help it.
Just make sure you don't fall asleep if you still want to achieve something that day. You could also end your day like that if you want to.
For me it is the best way to calm my nerves and have a bit of me-time.
So that is it, the complete list of why I love autumn so much.
What about you? What do you love about autumn?
What do you do to calm yourself down?
Or does anybody else experiences winter-depression?
Leave your thoughts and opinions down in the comments, so I can read them.
xx,
Paula Charlotte.

Next thing is, of course: Sweaters! Autumn is perfect sweater weather and I absolutely love it. Snuggling in a nice, cozy sweater and drinking tea while watching the rain is just amazing and one of my favorite things of all time.
