Everyday School Make-Up

Juni 17, 2016

Hello people.

Nobody asked for this. I know that.
But yesterday I went to a drugstore and was like "I'm gonna buy new make-up." but after good thirty minutes of looking around I couldn't find anything I liked or needed and was frustrated for a bit.
Then I thought: "Well, this is actually awesome, because that means I have the perfect make-up at the moment and I don't need anything else."

So today I'm going to show you my make-up I'm using every morning. It is a very quick routine, easy and definitely affordable. Let's go!

Skin

Brushes: Ebelin
Bronzer: Catrice Sun Glow for Darker Skin
Powder: Manhatten Soft Compact Powder Natural Look Number 3 Beige

I start by applying powder to my face to create a base. I never really had problems with my skin, so I am not using any concealer or foundation. Powder is for me the perfect thing to use to make my skin look more even without feeling like I am actually wearing make-up.
I am using the big fluffy brush and put the powder all over my face. It is a bit lighter than my skin tone, but this way I can also use it as a highlighter (kind of...).
Then I am either using the long brush or the same brush as I used before, put it in the bronzer and contour my face. I am only drawing a line under my cheekbones I don't fully sculpt my face. Then I am using the fluffy brush again and add a bit of the bronzer on my forehead, my nose, my cheeks and on my v-line.

Eyebrows

I would say that eyebrows are my favorite thing to do. When they are filled in they really change the way you look like.

Eyebrow kit: Essence- Hello Autumn eyebrow set
a random brow brush

I bought this eyebrow kit about two years ago. It is really cheap, but it is incredibly good. If you can get your hand on it, I highly recommend you to buy it. Unfortunately it is almost empty (as you can see) and in Germany eyebrow powder is not really a thing so I am using as little as possible from it.

In the morning I start by brushing my brows and then I am applying the powder. I'm using a very small amount, not only because I want to save it, but because I prefer it when there are still gaps in my brows and they are not looking perfect.
I am not the biggest fan of eyebrow pencils or gel. I feel like it looks more natural with powder while the other two options are making my eyebrows look quite harsh and perfectly outlined. (Or I am simply using it wrong...)

Eyes

Eyeshadow Pallet: Maybelline New York The Nudes
Brush: Ebelin Blending Brush

There are two different ways I am doing this.

1. I am using the light colour, put it on the fluffy brush and then apply it in my crease. It opens up my eye and also lightens the movable lid up. I actually prefer this one to the second option but sometimes I like to go "heavier" on the eye.

2. I am using the light colour and apply it all over my lid. Then I am using the darker colour and put it in my crease. This makes my eyes look darker which on some days I prefer but usually I would go for the easier option.

I am only using eyeshadow because it is the easiest and quickest way to give your eyes a bit more glam and make them pop more.

Mascara: Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Volume Mascara
And of course I am finishing this make-up off by applying mascara on my lashes. I don't curl them before, I just use my fingers to lift them up a bit.
I kind of wiggle and blink until I am happy with the outcome. After that I usually have to clean some mess up I accidentally created.

Lips

Lip Balm: Bee Natural w/ the flavour Pomegranate

And lastly I am just applying a small amount of lip balm because my lips are usually dry and crusty and if I would forget it I think they would fall off. This lip balm gives a bit of shine to my lips, but no colour which is what I want and is really moisturizing. Unfortunately it's almost empty so I need to repurchase it.

And that's it!
It literally takes me like 10 minutes to do and is very easy. It is also a natural look which is in my opinion more appropriate for school or an everyday make-up.

So I hope this was interesting for you to know what I am putting on my face everyday. Maybe you got some inspiration for your own make-up routine.

But what are your products you're using every day?
Or are you not even using make-up?

Leave me your answers and opinions in the comments below if you want to.
