Dreams For The Future

November 19, 2015

Almost everyday I get confronted by my teachers that the end of school is getting closer and life will get harder and I will be having a lot more responsibility et cetera.
So I hear stuff like
"What do you want to study?"
"You should start saving money already."
"When do you want to move out?"
"Have you ever thought about going abroad?"
"You really need to put more effort in what you do if you want to have a successful life."
.....Thanks!

No, but really, how am I supposed to look forward to my own independence when they tell me all the time how hard and crap life will get?
I mean, I get their intention. They just want us to have a goal it's worth working for, but do they really have to be this harsh? Because every time I tell them about my plans for my future they answer something like
"Please be realistic."
.....Thanks again!

So I am writing down my plans/dreams for my future, firstly for you to read but also for my future-self to go through it and see what I achieved and what is still to do.

First of all: I want to be as independent as possible. I am quite a creative person, so I think of trying to turn a talent of mine into a job. I want to live by the sea so I can open my windows in the morning and hear the ocean. When I do not know what to do I can just go to the beach and watch the waves slamming against rocks and I would never get bored of that because the beach is my happy place. I don't need a big house, I just need a cozy one. A home. I either want to live alone, with my boyfriend or my best friend. Alternatively I would love living in London, because it is the most beautiful city of all time to me. The one condition I definitely have is that I want to live in England. I don't want to be rich, or popular or special in any way, I just want to be happy and have my own freedom to do whatever I feel like.
I want to travel the world, meet new people, go to concerts, do mistakes and learn from them. When I die I don't want to think, that I have wasted all my life being a boring business person. (No offence to business people, but I could never ever have a job like that for 30 or more years.)

Now you know it. And I am curious to know about your plans and dreams for the future.

Let me know about them in the comments below.
I'd love to read them and maybe get inspiration for my own.
